COLLEGIATE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Did not see varsity action in 2005 as he took a redshirt season
- 2004 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll
- Competed in five tournaments in 2004 (FR), one as an individual and four team
- Had a 77.64 stroke average in 2004
- Best finish was T-37th at UNC Franklin Street Partners Invitational
- Low round in 2004 was 70, shot in one of country’s toughest tournaments, the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate
PREP HIGHLIGHTS:
- Set a boys’ record for low round in the AJGA Henry Griffitts Rome Jr.
- Classic with a 62 in the final round
- That record round included 10 birdies and eight pars
- He finished second in that event on the par 72 course and was featured in the “Faces in the Crowd” section of the October 21, 2002 issue of Sports Illustrated and was also featured in Golf World
- All-State in 2002 and 2003
- Prepped at Athens High
- Finished among top five at 2002 Alabama state junior amateur
- Also played basketball in high school
- Coached by Janet Lathem
- A National Honor Society member
