The frame is going up on the Jerry Pate Golf Center, future clubhouse home to the University of Alabama men's and women's golf teams. The facility, projected to be completed around October, is at Ol' Colony Club in Tuscaloosa. Alabama's golf teams already enjoy use there of their own driving range and putting greens. The completion of the center will give both teams their own private locker rooms as well as offices for the coaching staff. Ol' Colony Club is a course designed by former Crimson Tide golfer Jerry Pate, the 1975 U.S. Amateur champion who, after a successful career on the PGA tour is now enjoying success in his first year on the PGA's Champions Tour.
