
Two More Soccer Players Suffer Season Ending Injuries

Tuscaloosa, AL?? The Alabama Soccer team received news today that two more players have suffered season ending injuries. Sophomore Cailey Corken and freshman Ashley Scheidt are both out for the remainder of the season with broken toes.
Also today senior Emily Pitek underwent successful surgery to repair the ACL she tore against Ole Miss. Dr. Lyle Cain preformed the surgery at St. Vincets Hospital in Birmingham.
Sheidt played in 11 games this season as a true freshman starting the first two games of the season. She originally hurt her toe in early September against Kansas, she was able to play in the Tide’s last six games before re-injuring her toe against LSU this past weekend.
Corken started the first 12 games of the year for Alabama before injuring her toe against Kentucky in early October.
Alabama has had their share of injuries this season with eight players suffering season ending injuries:
Karen Lansden- Broken Arm, Ashley Sheidt- Broken Toe, Annie B Collins- Torn ACL (Underwent surgery on 10/3), Emily Pitek-Torn ACL (Underwent Surgery on 10/17), Grace Lawson- Back Injury (Underwent Surgery on 10/2), Rosaly Petriello- Torn ACL, Cailey Corken- Broken Toe,Chelsea Stang- Blood Clot
Alabama will travel to No.12 Tennessee on Friday with sixteen available players.
