Hamrick Finishes 10th at Western Refining All-America Classic

EL PASO, Texas - Alabama junior Hunter Hamrick finished in a tie for 10th place in the Western Refining Classic on Tuesday at the par-71, 6,837-yard El Paso Country Club. Hamrick's teammate, Crimson Tide junior Bud Cauley, finished in 26th place.
Hamrick shot a three-round total of 5-under par 208 in defense of his 2009 Western Refining Classic title while Cauley wrapped up play at six-over par 219. Over the course of the 54-hole tournament, Hamrick carded 10 birdies and an eagle while Cauley notched 10 birdies.
Alex Ching of the University of San Diego was the eventual champion with a three-day total of 12-unde par 201.
Thirty-two golfers competed in the invitation-only tournament. The field included seven of the top 11 amateur golfers in the world, according to the R&A World Amateur Golf Rankings.
Hamrick and Cauley return to play for the Crimson Tide on Feb. 20 in the Puerto Rico Classic.
