Rowing Heads to Tennessee for Chattanooga Head Race Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama Rowing continues its fall season on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Chattanooga Head Race in Chattanooga, Tenn. Events on the Tennessee River will begin at 8 a.m. CT.
Multiple collegiate teams from throughout the southeast will be participating, including Tennessee, UT-Chattanooga, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Tulane, Clemson and Vanderbilt. Events begin at 8 a.m. CT with the Women's Collegiate 8+ race.
Alabama will send four 8+ boats, four 4+ boats, one Novice 8+, three pairs and three doubles.
Last time out, the Tide opened its fall season competing against UAH on the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa. There, the Alabama swept its three races against the Chargers, with the Tide's fastest 4+ boat crossed the line in 16:53.2, while the winning pair finished in 17:01.8 and the winning double crew won in 16:47.2.
