The start of the school year means another exciting year for the Alabama Cheer and Spirit Squads. Everyone has already been very busy during the month of August!

Here are some of the activities that we've been involved with:

Our All-Girl, Coed, and Big Al teams finished camp with many awards and an even stronger team bond. We were happy to be the host University for UCA College Camp 2014.
Big Al traveled to Los Angeles in August for an AT&T commercial shoot with some of his mascot friends
We had an incredible turnout for our Aug. 17 stunt clinic. There was such incredible talent and skill at this clinic! We look forward to having another one later this fall!
Our teams met to have a tour of Bryant Museum before classes started in August. Over half of our team from out-of-state, so this was a great opportunity to learn and see up close and personal the tradition and excellence we are a part of.
Alabama Cheerleaders and Big Al went to Children's of Alabama and visited with kids and celebrated Wells Fargo's "Picks for Kids" campaign. For every interception made by Alabama this season, Wells Fargo will donate $1,000 to help children treated at Children's Hospital.
Several of our athletes ran in the Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah 5k to benefit Cystic Fibrosis & The Thomas Plott Foundation. We helped around campus promoting the event leading up to the Aug. 23 race
We enjoyed visiting with people in the Tuscaloosa community and getting excited for the season to kick off by having a pep rally and autograph signing at Chick-Fil-A in Northport.
Last but not least, football season began at the Chik Fil A Kickoff Game in Atlanta, Ga., against West Virginia
