RollTide.com caught up with each member of the track and cross country team to find out more about them. Today, we feature Jeff Edmondson, a redshirt freshman cross country runner who is looking to build on experience from last year going into this season.
How did you start distance running?
"My parents suggested I should start running, and I just went from there.
What's your favorite part about running?
"I've been able to make a lot of friends through it."
Why did you decide to come to the University of Alabama?
"My coach's daughter played soccer here, and she suggested that I look into the track and cross country team here. It's been a really good fit."
What do you want to accomplish this season?
"I want to make the biggest contribution to the team that I can and hopefully set (personal records)."
What is your best advice for young runners?
"Stick with it and keep working hard because it gets better. You may not think you can do what you can actually do. You could prove yourself wrong and do some amazing things."
