Crimson Tide Women Up to Fourth, Men Remain Fifth in Week Five USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Rankings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's cross country team moved up one spot to fourth while the men remain at No. 5 in the fifth regular season U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South regional rankings of 2016, released Tuesday.
Both teams were in action at Alabama's own Crimson Classic on Oct. 14, with the women finishing first and the men coming in seventh. Individually, Antibahs Kosgei won the men's University Division race while freshman McKenzie Yanek was the top finisher for the women, coming in sixth to lead a group of four freshmen among the Tide women's five scoring runners. Both teams will now be off until traveling to Fayetteville, Ark. for the Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championships on Oct. 28.
