
Crimson Tide Men and Women Place Fifth in Week Four USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Rankings

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's and women's cross country teams are ranked fifth in their respective South Region top 15s in the fourth regular season U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings of 2016, released Tuesday. The men held steady fifth for the second week in a row while the women moved down one spot from a fourth-place ranking a week ago.
Both teams were in action at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational Sept. 30, with the men finishing 17th and the women 15th. They will now be off until hosting the Crimson Classic on Oct. 14 at the Harry Pritchett Running Park in Tuscaloosa. The men's 8,000 meter race will begin at 9 a.m. CT that morning, followed by the women's 5,000 meter race at 9:45 a.m.Â
