Alabama Signs Standout Golfer Dillon West

West joins fall signee Jones Free as members of the 2021 signing class
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama head men's golf coach Jay Seawell announced that Dillon West, a 2021 Junior College All-American, has signed to continue his playing career with the Crimson Tide. West joins fall signee Jones Free as the newest members of the 2021-22 squad.

"We are very excited to have Dillon join our golf family. He is an extremely hard worker who has dedicated himself to becoming a great player. You can see that in the way he has improved over his two seasons playing collegiately. I expect him to add leadership and experience and will be an excellent addition to our program."

Jefferson State (2020-21)
- Played one season under Mike Bracken at Jefferson State Community College
- Earned Golf Coaches Association of America PING Second Team All-America honors
- Also garnered a spot on the GCAA PING District IV Team
- Finished in 29th overall at NJCAA Nationals with a 72-hole total of 7-over par 295 (67-78-79-71) to help lead Jeff State to a top-10 finish
- His opening round of 5-under 67 matched the second-lowest round by any NJCAA student-athlete throughout the 2020-21 season
- Captured co-medalist honors (lost title on a playoff) at the 2021 Alabama Community College Conference after carding a 12-under par 204 (70-66-68)
- Secured medalist honors at the NJCAA Golf Championship Preview
- Earned the individual title and led team to the team championship at the Tom Flowe Memorial Golf Tournament
- Collected all-tournament honors with a fourth-place finish at the Dan York Memorial
Lincoln Memorial University (2019-20)
- Played his freshman season under head coach Travis Muncy at LMU
- Earned Second Team All-South Atlantic Conference honors
- Averaged a 74.17 during his lone season with the Railsplitters
- Finished fourth overall at the Hilton Head Intercollegiate with a 1-under par 215
Prep Highlights
- Had a successful prep career while attending Fab Academy
- Claimed medalist honors with a 138 (68-70) at the rain-shortened Sudbury Salver in 2019
- Finished runner-up at the IJGT Global Junior Golf Grand Final in December of 2018
- Placed fourth overall with a 72-hole total of 283 (67-70-78-68) at the 2019 Darwin Salver
- Closed play in the top 10 of the 2018 North England Championship with a 293 (78-74-73-68)
