
Alabama Cross Country Rank Women No. 1 Regionally and No. 7 Nationally, Men Move Up to No. 3 Regionally

The Crimson Tide women hold steady at No. 1 in the South Region and No. 7 nationally in the latest rankings, while the men move up a spot to No. 3 in the regional rankings
NEW ORLEANS – The Alabama women remain No. 1 in the South Region and No. 7 nationally the latest cross country rankings, while the Crimson Tide men jumped a spot in the regional rankings moving up to No. 3 in the Week 1 edition of the 2021 NCAA Division I Cross Country Rankings.
The Alabama women held the same spots in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason poll, while men moved up a spot after starting in fourth in the South Region preseason standings.
The Tide men and women opened the season at the Memphis Twilight Classic on Sept. 4 and return to action Friday at the North Alabama Showcase in Huntsville, Ala.
