
Alabama Soccer's Reyes, Parker, Knox Earn All-America Honors

The 2022 season marks the first time the Crimson Tide has had three student-athletes earn All-America recognition
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama soccer's Reyna Reyes, Riley Mattingly Parker and Felicia Knox became the Crimson Tide's first student-athletes named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America team, the organization announced Friday. Reyes and Parker earned First-Team All-America honors and Knox earned third-team honors for helping lead the Crimson Tide to a College Cup appearance in the midst of the program's best-ever season.
The trio join Libby Probst who earned third team All-America honors in 2005 from TopDrawerSoccer as the Tide's only All-American honorees in program history.
Reyna Reyes
- Named a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist
- Led the Alabama defense to a program-record 12 shutouts and 23 wins this season
- Leads a Crimson Tide defense that ranks 19th nationally in goals-against average (0.648) and just 17 goals, outscoring the competition 76-17 in 2022
- Despite playing on the backline, Reyes has notched eight goals which is third-most on the team, and recorded an assist for 17 points on the season
- Scored two game-winning goals, including the winning goal in overtime against Duke in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals
- The UA senior's goal against the Blue Devils was her second in the 2022 NCAA Tournament after scoring a goal to help lift UA to a 9-0 victory over Jackson State in the opening round
- Made her fourth appearance on the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region team and earned her second consecutive nod as a first-team all-region honoree
- Named the SEC Defender of the Year
Riley Mattingly Parker
- Named a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist
- Shattered two 17-year-old records, topping the UA marks for single-season goals (17) and points (41)
- Netted an NCAA-leading seven game-winning goals this season to surpass the prior UA record of five set in 1994
- Ranks sixth nationally in both goals and points while ranking 14th nationally in points per game (1.64)
- Was named a three-time SEC Offensive Player of the Week (8/29, 9/5, 10/24)
- Named to the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Southeast Region Team
- Was the first Alabama player to be named SEC Forward of the Year
- Sixth UA player to earn SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and first to do so since Nealy Martin in 2019
Felicia Knox
- Holds an NCAA-leading 20 assists this season, which set the UA record for most assists in a single season
- Ranks 11th nationally in points with 34 this year, adding seven goals to her season resume
- Averages 0.77 assists a game, second-best average in the NCAA this season
- Has tallied eight assists off of corner kicks and another three assists off of free kicks
- Scored the game-winning goal against then-No. 5 South Carolina and Texas A&M
- First Team All-Southeast Region honoree
- Named the SEC Midfielder of the Year
The Team
- The Crimson Tide makes it debut in the College Cup against UCLA Friday (7:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU)
- This season marked the first time in program history that Alabama has had three student-athletes named First Team All-Southeast Region selections, with Knox, Reyes and Parker earning the honor
- UA won its first-ever SEC Championship after going 10-0 in Southeastern Conference Play and advanced to the SEC Tournament championship game for the first time since 1995
- The Tide went undefeated at home, extending its unbeaten streak to 20 wins at the Alabama Soccer Stadium
- UA reached its best-ever nationally ranking at No. 2 in the country during the season
- The Crimson Tide has set the season record for points (220), goals (76), assists (68), shots (528), shots on goal (224), wins (23) and shutouts (12)
