
Alabama Track & Field Shatters School Record and Picks Up Four Wins in Final Regular-Season Weekend

The Crimson Tide shattered the school DMR record at the Arkansas Qualifier with the second-fastest time in the nation this season and picked up four wins at the LSU Twilight
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama track & field shattered the school record in the distance medley relay and picked up four wins to close the indoor regular season Friday afternoon.
At the Arkansas Qualifier, Hillary Cheruiyot, Khaleb McRae, Jacob Lamb and Eliuid Kipsang combined to run a 9:22.43 in the distance medley relay, shattering the school record, taking second in the race and posting the second fastest time in the nation this season. The Crimson Tide's time is also the fifth-fastest in collegiate history on a record-eligible track.
The Crimson Tide won four events at the LSU Twilight in Baton Rouge, La., while setting two facility records.
Alabama went 1-2 in the men's weight throw with Bobby Colantonio Jr. (23.70 meters) winning with a facility record, while Kieran McKeag (21.16m) took second. Chelsea Igberaese won the women's weight throw with a toss of 21.81 meters, bettering the facility record in the process.
The Crimson Tide went 1-2-3 in the men's shot put led by Jerimiah Evans (18.61m) who was followed by Chago Basso (18.50m) and Alan de Falchi (17.62m), in second and third, respectively. Nickolette Dunbar took first (16.61m) and Chelsea Igberaese was third (15.22m) in the women's shot put.
