TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama announced its 2022 cross country schedule Tuesday, introducing a slate that includes four in-state meets, highlighted by the Crimson Tide's first regular-season home competition since 2017.
Alabama will host the Crimson Classic at the Harry Pritchett Running Course on Oct. 15, in addition to traveling to the Lion Opener (Sept. 1) in Florence, Ala., and the North Alabama Showcase (Sept. 16) and NCAA South Regional Championships (Nov. 11), both in Huntsville, Ala.
In addition to its quartet of in-state meets, the Tide will travel to South Bend, Ind., to compete in the Joe Piane Invitational on Sept. 30, Oxford, Miss., on Oct. 28 for the Southeastern Conference Championships and Stillwater, Okla., for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 19.
Alabama Head Coach Dan Waters Said
"We're excited to be competing at home in mid-October. While we've been able to compete within the state of Alabama quite bit over the last couple of years, and again this year, there's nothing quite like competing on your home course in front of your friends, family and fans. Overall, this is a great schedule that will prepare us for the postseason."
