The Crimson Tide tops Navy on opening day

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's tennis team opened its 2023 dual match season beating Navy at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.

The Match

Loudmilla Bencheikh and Ola Pitak jumped out to a quick start, taking a 6-1 win over Sia Chaudry and Parvathi Shanker on court two
Anne Marie Hiser and Klara Milicevic followed with a doubles win on court three to move the Tide ahead 1-0 with their 6-2 victory over Stella Ribaudo and Corinne Farid
Freshen Klara Milicevic opened singles play going 6-4, 6-0 against Sia Chaudry on court five
Anna Parkhomenko followed by downing Sylvia Eklund on court four with a 6-3, 6-0 decision
Ola Pitak clinched the match point with a two-set 6-2, 6-1 win on court three
A 6-3 ,6-4 win by Loudmilla Bencheikh against Emily Tannenbaum on court two and a 7-5, 6-4 win by Ansley Cheshire over Parvathi Shanker on court six rounded out the match
