2023-24 Racing Schedule Set for Alabama Rowing

The Crimson Tide’s schedule features two home races on the Black Warrior River before making a pair of trips to the renowned Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama rowing program announced its 2023-24 schedule on Wednesday, a campaign that features two home races on the Black Warrior River, along with a pair of trips to Sarasota, Fla., to the renowned Nathan Benderson Park.
The fall slate opens at the Head of Oklahoma on Saturday, Sept. 30. The Crimson Tide will then host the Head of the Black Warrior River on Saturday, Oct. 28, in Tuscaloosa.
Alabama will kick off its spring season back at home for a dual race against Eastern Michigan (March 2) for its final regatta in Tuscaloosa. The Tide will then roll its way to Oak Ridge, Tenn., for the Cardinal Invite (March 16-17) to close out the month of March. The first of two regattas in April will feature a trip to the Sunshine State, as Alabama will race at the Big 10 Invite (April 18-20), before traveling up to Raleigh, N.C., for the Lake Wheeler Invite (April 26-27).
The Crimson Tide will close its schedule at the Big 12 Championships (May 19), marking its second and final trip to Nathan Benderson Park. Qualifying teams will advance to the NCAA Rowing Championship, held in Bethel, Ohio, May 31-June 2.

We train and race throughout the season to be our best in May, and we want to challenge ourselves against the best in collegiate rowing."
