Canon Claycomb earns the recognition for a third consecutive season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For a third consecutive season, Alabama men's golfer Canon Claycomb has been named to the 2024 PING Southeast All-Regional team, which was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America earlier in the week. It is the seventh consecutive year that the Crimson Tide has had a representative selected for the honor.
It marks the third consecutive year that Claycomb has been tabbed as an all-region performer (2022-24), the first time that's occurred in eight years dating back to former standout Robby Shelton (2014-16).

- Finished the year ranked No. 20 in the PGA Tour University rankings
- Closed an outstanding career with a top-10 finish at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, finishing with season-best numbers for 18- (65), 36- (135) and 54-hole (202) numbers
- Collected four top-10 finishes, including two in the top five, and seven top-20 results in 11 tournaments played this season to lead the Tide in both categories
- Led the team in stroke average (70.88), average vs. par (-0.28)
- Had 20 rounds of par or better and nine rounds in the 60s for the year
- Finished below par in seven of the 11 tournaments this year
