LT Overton Selected to SEC Community Service Team

The Crimson Tide defensive lineman was honored for his outstanding charitable contributions
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alabama defensive lineman LT Overton was selected to the 2025 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the league office announced Thursday.
The SEC names a Community Service Team for its 22-league sponsored sports, aiming to highlight a student-athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.

- Devotes his time to the Crimson Tide's volunteer efforts on a consistent basis
- Uses his platform to benefit the Tuscaloosa and Milton (Ga.) community, focusing primarily on helping underprivileged youth
- Has made frequent stops at the Tuscaloosa Juvenile Detention Center to mentor at-risk children
- Appeared at local schools in Tuscaloosa to speak to students regarding the importance of academics
- His service commitments also include the Boys & Girls Club and the Two Roads Autism Center in Tuscaloosa
- Sponsors a student at his alma mater, Milton (Ga.) High School, providing the necessary funds to allow an underprivileged player to purchase equipment for the upcoming season each year
- Returned to Milton to work as a camp counselor for a youth football camp during the 2025 summer
- Recently donated his hair to Locks of Love prior to the start of Fall Camp in 2025
- Intends on developing a foundation to support mental health benefits for vulnerable adolescents
