Final Results

The Crimson Tide sent five crews to petite and grand finals during its two-day weekend regatta

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Alabama rowing program sent five crews to petite and grand finals during its two-day weekend regatta at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla., with the Crimson Tide's Second Varsity 8+ boat tallying a fourth-place finish in the grand final.

The regatta featured heat sessions on Friday with event finals on Saturday.

During Friday's heat sessions, the Crimson Tide finished third (heat one) and fifth (heat two) in the 2V4+, fourth in the 3V8+ (heat two), third in the 1V4+ (heat three), second in the 2V8+ (heat two) and third in the 1V8+ (heat two).

Alabama returned to the water on Saturday for event finals. The Tide's second 2V4+ crew won its final to kickstart the day, followed by another first-place finish in the petite final. Alabama's 3V8+ crew took third in its petite final before the 1V4+ boat took crossed the line seven seconds ahead of second-place Michigan State in the petite final. In the 2V8+ race, Alabama took fourth in the grand final. The Crimson Tide's 1V8+ concluded the weekend with a first-place finish in its petite final.
