
Track and Field Sees 26 Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Recognition

14 members of the Alabama men’s team and 12 female student-athletes received 2025 USTFCCCA All-Academic honors
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Twenty-six Alabama track and field student-athletes (14 men, 12 women) earned Men's and Women's Track and Field All-Academic recognition, announced Monday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Donald Chiyangwa, RJ Decker, Peter Diebold, Oussama El Bouchayby, Barry Evans, Arthur Graham, Trevor Gunzell, Jackson Harris, Ahmed Ibrahim, Dismus Lokira, John O'Donnell, Ezekiel Pitireng, Jekovan Rhetta and Christopher Young made up the UA men's All-Academic honorees. The UA women, meanwhile, were represented by Katelyn Adel, Miracle Ailes, Megan Albamonti, Treneese Hamilton, Mariia Horielova, Doris Lemngole, Keaton Morrison, Precious Nzeakor, Cleo Oye-Agyepong, Ellie Partrick, Brenda Tuwei and Lilly Walters.
In addition to individual All-Academic honors, the Crimson Tide men's (3.3 GPA) and women's (3.7 GPA) programs were named All-Academic teams for the 2025 season. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes, and programs, for their combined performances in athletic competitions and in the classroom.
Alabama Men's USTFCCCA All-Academic Honorees
- As a program, the UA men recorded a 3.3 GPA to earn USTFCCCA Men's All-Academic Team recognition
- Seven student-athletes hold a 3.50-or-higher GPA, featuring perfect 4.0s from Peter Diebold and Oussama El Bouchayby
- Decker – 3.57 – master's in hospitality management
- Diebold – 4.00 – master's in communication studies
- El Bouchayby – 4.00 – sport management
- Evans – 3.50 – master's in sport management
- Gunzell – 3.69 – human environmental sciences

- Seven honorees earned All-America recognition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, highlighted by a trio of first-team honors

Award Criteria
- As a program, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period
- Student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and must have completed at least two semesters at the nominating institution
- For the indoor season's athletic criteria, the student-athletes must have finished the season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event, or in the top 48 in any championship relay
- For the outdoor season's athletic criteria, the student-athletes must have participated in any round of the NCAA Outdoor Championships (East/West First Round and/or the final Championship competition), or for the multi-events, and must have finished the season ranked in the top 48 in the East or West regions
