Three former Alabama golfers – Bud Cauley, Davis Riley, Justin Thomas – finished inside the top 70 and will compete in the FedExCup Playoffs which begin this weekend
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Three former Crimson Tide golfers will compete in the 2025 FedExCup Playoffs which begin this weekend at the FedEx St. Jude Championship on Aug. 7-10 in Memphis, Tenn. The event, which features the top 70 golfers on the PGA TOUR, tees off a three-week race to the 2025 FedEx Cup title.
The 70-man field will shrink to 50 after this weekend's first playoff event, and to 30 after the second – the BMW Championship (Aug. 14-17 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md.). The Tour Championship and final event of the season will take place Aug. 21-24 at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
Below is a look at the former Alabama men's golfers that finished among the top 70 PGA TOUR golfers during the season and who will be competing at this weekend's event.
