Multiple SEC Postseason Awards Earned by Crimson Tide

Azaraya Ra-Akbar was named SEC Co-Freshman of the Year, while five gymnasts earned All-SEC honors
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama gymnast Azaraya Ra-Akbar was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Freshman of the Year, while Ryan Fuller, Gabby Gladieux, Kylee Kvamme, Gabby Ladanyi and Ra-Akbar earned All-SEC honors, the league office announced Wednesday.
Ra-Akbar became the first Alabama gymnast to earn Freshmen of the Year honors since Andreé Pickens in 1999 and is the fourth Crimson Tide freshman overall to receive the recognition (1994 – Meredith Willard, 1998 – Robin Hawkins, 1999 – Pickens, 2026 – Ra-Akbar).
Alabama's five All-SEC honorees (Fuller, Gladieux, Kvamme, Ladanyi, Ra-Akbar) are its most since the 2021 season (six honorees) and rank as the third-highest total in program history (seven in 2011; six in 2019 and 2021; five in 2008 and 2026).
Azaraya Ra-Akbar – Co-Freshman of the Year, All-SEC, All-Freshman
- First Alabama gymnast since 1999 to earn Freshman of the Year honors
- Her fourth-place finish on vault (9.900) at the SEC Championships earned both All-SEC and All-Freshman recognition
- Only freshman this season to earn both SEC Gymnast of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors
- Only SEC rookie this season to score a perfect 10.000 on the uneven bars, while also posting career highs of 9.975 on vault, 9.950 on floor and 39.600 in her all-around debut
- Leads all SEC freshmen with 13 event titles, including six on bars
- Her 9.960 NQS on bars is tied for the highest among SEC freshmen, as Ra-Akbar is the only freshman with that mark whose team also ranks in the top two nationally on the event
- Currently ranked No. 2 nationally on bars, No. 7 on vault and No 11 on floor
- Scored 9.900 or higher on all three of her events (vault, bars, floor) in her SEC Championships debut, marking the fifth time this season she has achieved that feat in a single meet
Ryan Fuller – All-SEC
- Second career All-SEC honor after earning All-Freshman recognition in 2025
- Scored a 9.900 on the balance beam at the SEC Championships to finish fourth
- The 9.900 matched her season high
Gabby Gladieux – All-SEC
- Captured her second career SEC title (vault, 2023) and first on the floor exercise at the SEC Championships
- Her 9.950 tied for the highest score of the meet, giving the senior four career All-SEC honors
- The feat marked the sixth time this season she has scored 9.950 or higher on the event
Kylee Kvamme – All-SEC
- First career All-SEC honor
- Scored a 9.950 on the balance beam to finish second at the SEC Championships
- The 9.950 matched her career high, first set earlier this season against LSU
Gabby Ladanyi – All-SEC
- First career All-SEC honor
- Scored a 9.900 on the balance beam to finish fourth at the SEC Championships
- The 9.900 matched the second-highest score of her junior season, first recorded at Auburn
