ATHENS, Ga. – The Alabama women's golf team carded a team score of 15-over par 303 on Saturday to sit tied for sixth overall after the opening round of the Liz Murphey Intercollegiate.Â
Natachanok Tunwannarux leads the Tide after day one and sits in eighth overall at 1-over par 73, while Amanda Gyllner sits inside the top 30 at 28th after at 4-over par 76.Â
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Alabama finished the day ranked first on par 5 scoring with a team total of 6-under par (4.70)
- Natachanok Tunwannarux and Amanda Gyllner led the team with three birdies apiece in the opening round
- Gyllner carded a 2-under par 35 on the back-9, finishing the day in 28th at 4-over par 76
- Harriet Lockley is in a tie for 37th overall at 5-over par 77
- Mattison Frick recorded a pair of birdies in her opening round, finishing the day tied for 37th with Lockley at 5-over par 77
