SEA ISLAND, Ga. – William Jennings carded a 6-under par 64 to lead the No. 17 Alabama men's golf team in the opening round of the 2026 SEC Men's Golf Championships on Wednesday. As a team, the Crimson Tide is in a tie for seventh overall with a team score of 8-under par 272

Jennings will enter the second round two shots back of overall leader Ryder Cowan of Oklahoma. In addition to Jennings' opening round performance, Nick Gross carded a 3-under 67 and is in 16^th.

Round One Highlights

William Jennings' round of 64 marked a career-best 18-hole score and his 12^th round of par or better this season
Jennings recorded eight birdies with the only blemish coming in the form of a double bogey on No. 8
Nick Gross began his day with back-to-back bogeys before responding with five birdies and 11 pars over his final 16 holes to finish at 3-under par 67, which matches a season-low 18-hole score
