
Jennings Remains in Second Overall Heading into Final Round of the NCAA Men’s Golf Championships

The Crimson Tide sophomore was 2-under in Sunday’s third round and remains one shot back of the overall lead at 10-under 206
CARLSBAD, Calif. – William Jennings finished third round action at the 2026 NCAA Men's Golf Championships on Sunday, closing the day at 2-under par 70 and remains in a tie for second place overall with a 72-hole total of 10-under par 206 (66-70-70). He will enter Monday's final round of stroke play just one shot behind clubhouse leader Preston Stout of Oklahoma State (-11).
Jennings has now collected 10 consecutive rounds of par or better and has 28 such rounds out of 36 played this year.
Jennings will be looking to become the Crimson Tide's first men's golfer to win the NCAA individual title when he tees off his fourth round of action at this year's championships.
Round Three Highlights
- Teeing off his round on the 10th hole for a second consecutive day, Jennings collected a pair of bogeys and one birdie to finish his front nine at +1
- Jennings responded on his back nine with three consecutive birdies on holes No. 4, 5 & 6 and finished at 3-under 33 to result in his 2-under total for the day
- Jennings currently ranks tied for sixth on par four (-4, 3.86) while his 14 birdies are tied for eighth-most
- In addition to having 28 of his 36 rounds played on the year at par or better, Jennings also leads the Tide with 14 total rounds in the 60s
