Jennings becomes 28th UA golfer to earn first team all-conference honors
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's golfer William Jennings has been named First Team All-SEC, the league office announced on Thursday.
Jennings becomes the 28th Alabama men's golfer to earn the honor and the first since Nick Dunlap was tabbed to the conference's first tam in 2023.
William Jennings, First Team All-SEC
- Has had an outstanding season and is ranked No. 8 in that nation among all Division I men's golfers according to the latest Scoreboard/Clippd national rankings
- Boasts six top five finishes across Alabama's 10 tournaments played on the year, highlighted by a pair of first place finishes and two runner-up results
- Captured medalist honors at the season-opening Folds of Honor Collegiate to help lead the Tide to the team championship, finishing the event at six-under par 207
- Tied for first overall at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, finishing 1-under par (209) before narrowly missing medalist honors in a playoff
- Earned the SEC Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Ben Hogan Collegiate
- Also collected runner up finishes at the Fallen Oak Collegiate (-12, 204) and the Linger Longer Invitational (-13, 203)
- Placed third overall among all individuals at the 2026 SEC Championships
- Named Ben Hogan Award September Golfer of the Month
- Named to the Watch Lists for the Ben Hogan Award and the Haskins Award
- Leads Alabama in total stroke average (70.03), average vs. par (-1.07), total rounds in the 60s (13) and total rounds of par or better (22)
