
Jennings Becomes Ninth Men’s Golfer to Earn First-Team All-America Honors

William Jennings is the first UA golfer to earn first team honors since 2016
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's golfer William Jennings was named a PING First Team All-American, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Wednesday. With the award, Jennings becomes the ninth Crimson Tide golfer in program history to earn the honor and the first since Robby Shelton in 2016.

- Had an outstanding season, ending the year ranked No. 4 in that nation among all Division I men's golfers according to the latest Scoreboard/Clippd national rankings
- Now the ninth golfer in program history earning the 15th such accolade and the first to be tabbed a First Team All-American since 2016 (Robby Shelton)
- Earned runner-up finish at the 2026 NCAA Men's Golf Championships, finishing the event with a 72-hole tournament total of 13-under par 275 (66-70-70-69)
- Became the fourth Alabama's men's golfer in program history, and first since 2013, to win an NCAA Regional championship as he carded a 15-under par 201 to claim individual honors at the Marana Regional
- Earned three first-place finishes this season which is tied for the second-most individual wins in a year in program history (Fall of Honors Collegiate, Ben Hogan Collegiate, NCAA Marana Regional)
- Boasts eight top five finishes across his 12 tournaments played on the year, highlighted by three first place finishes and three runner-up results
- Captured medalist honors at the season-opening Folds of Honor Collegiate to help lead the Tide to the team championship, finishing the event at six-under par 207
- Tied for first overall at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, finishing 1-under par (209) before narrowly missing medalist honors in a playoff
- Named to United States Palmer Cup Team which will take place in early-July
- A finalist for the 2026 Haskins Award
- In addition to having 29 of his 37 rounds played on the year at par or better, Jennings also led the Tide with 18 total rounds in the 60s
