Seven Men’s Tennis Student-Athletes Placed on ITA Scholar-Athlete Team

The Crimson Tide was named an ITA All-Academic Team honoree for the 14th consecutive year
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Seven members of the Alabama men's tennis team were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete Team, the organization announced Monday.
The Crimson Tide's Carlos Gimenez Perez, Vit Kalina, Matic Kriznik, Brendan Loh, Jacob Olar, Yoshka Sborowsky and Andrii Zimnokh earned the individual honor, highlighted by Zimnokh who secured his third consecutive nod. Additionally, UA was named to the All-Academic Team for the 14th-straight year.
In order to be named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team, a student-athlete must hold a 3.5 or higher GPA for the current academic year. ITA All-Academic Teams must have a team grade point average for 3.2 or above.

- With the announcement, Alabama boasts seven-or-more honorees in back-to-back years
- Carlos Gimenez Perez concluded his collegiate career as a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete
- Andrii Zimnokh earned his third nod in as many years
- Matic Kriznik and Brendan Loh picked up their second consecutive ITA academic award
- Freshmen Vit Kalina, Jacob Olar and Yoshka Sborowsky earned their first scholar-athelte honor from the organization
- The Tide received its 14th consecutive ITA All-Academic Team honor after recording a 3.74 cumulative GPA for the 2025-26 academic year
- Under head coach George Husack, UA has earned 79 ITA Scholar-Athlete honor in addition to claiming team recognition each season
