First Team All-America Added to Jennings’ Growing List of Preseason Awards

Golf Channel, Golfweek tabbed William Jennings as a preseason First Team All-America
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's golfer William Jennings was tabbed a Preseason All-America First Team honoree by Golf Channel and Golfweek, it was announced Tuesday. The awards come one week after the Crimson Tide junior was named to the Fred Haskins Award Watch List, which honors the nation's top collegiate golfer.
Jennings' recognitions come after an outstanding sophomore year in which he finished the campaign ranked No. 4 in the nation, according to the Scoreboard/Clippd rankings. He went on to earn First Team All-America honors and was a Haskins Award Finalist.
William Jennings, Preseason First Team All-America
- Had an outstanding 2025-26 season, finishing with three individual victories, three runner-up results and eight top five finishes across his 12 tournaments played on the year
- Became the ninth golfer in program history to earn First Team All-America honors, and the first to earn the honor since 2016 (Robby Shelton)
- Finished runner-up at the 2026 NCAA Men's Golf Championships with a 72-hole tournament total of 13-under par 275 (66-70-70-69)
- Became the fourth Alabama's men's golfer in program history, and first since 2013, to win an NCAA Regional championship as he carded a 15-under par 201 to claim individual honors at the Marana Regional
- His three first-place finishes tied for the second-most individual wins in a year in program history (Fall of Honors Collegiate, Ben Hogan Collegiate, NCAA Marana Regional)
- Named to United States Palmer Cup Team, which was played in July, and the United States Walker Cup Team which will be held in early September
- A finalist for the 2026 Haskins Award
