Sutter earned the recognition after making his debut start with the Crimson Tide at the Folds of Honor Collegiate
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama men's golfer Bailey Sutter has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. The recognition marked the first career conference honor for the Cullman, Ala., native after he made his collegiate debut for the Crimson Tide on Sept. 7.
Bailey Sutter Notes
- Made his collegiate debut during the Folds of Honor Collegiate in which he helped UA to a fifth-place finish with all three rounds contributing to the team total
- Finished the three-day, 54-hole tournament at 1-under par 212 (72-71-69) to place 18th overall
- Led the field in par 3 scoring (-3, 2.75) and collected 13 birdies to tie for sixth overall in the category
- Recorded a low round of 69 to lead the team on the final day
