No.18 Men’s Golf Improves Two Spots to Finish Fourth Place at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational

William Jennings and Miles Eubanks both earned top 10 finishes to lead the Crimson Tide on the final day
CHICAGO – Two golfers are among the top 10 individuals to lead the No. 18 Alabama men's golf team during the final round at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational on Saturday. The Crimson Tide finished 30-under par 810 (268-274-268) on the last day to earn a fourth-place finish.
Miles Eubanks (67-68-66) and William Jennings (66-66-69) both placed tied for 10th position overall at 9-under par 201, while all five UA golfers ended the final day under par.

"I'm really proud of how we competed this week as Olympia Fields always produces a big-time field. We challenged our guys to show ourselves that we belong in the highest level of college golf. I'm proud of Miles [Eubanks] getting his first top 10 finish. We need to continue to work and improve, so we can put ourselves in position to win."
Individual Highlights
- Miles Eubanks earned his first career top-10 finish (t10th) after carding his third under par round on the final day of the tournament (67-68-66/201)
- William Jennings also finished tied for 10th place with a 9-under par 201 (66-66-69) after 54 holes played
- Freshman Bailey Sutter earned his second top-25 finish in as many tournaments after carding a 6-under par 204 (67-69-68)
- Nick Gross (68-71-66/205) and Jack Mitchell (72-74-68/214) both finished under par on the last day to conclude the tournament in 31st and 75th position, respectively
- Alabama led the field in par 3 scoring (-4, 2.93) and collected the third most birdies (62)
Team Highlights
- No. 4 Arizona State (-40) took the lead during the final 18 holes and held on to capture the title, winning by two strokes over No. 12 Illinois (-38)
- Alabama (-38) finished with a three-stroke lead over fifth place No. 3 Oklahoma State and No. 1 Florida
