Steijn Louter Leads Alabama at Season Opening CSL Match

The Crimson Tide finished in third place with 263 points
WESTMONT, Ill. – The Alabama men's and women's swimming teams opened the 2026-27 season at the College Swimming League (CSL) match on Friday at the FMC Natatorium, finishing in third place.
Virginia won the meet with 666 points, followed by NC State in second place with 554.5 points. Alabama's 263 points ranked third over Georgia's 207.5 points.
The Crimson Tide put together a strong showing with 10 podium finishes, including a gold-medal performance from Steijn Louter in the 200 breaststroke. Louter provided a crucial boost to Alabama's scoring total, recording a time of 1:55.27 in the event.
Cadence Vincent led the way on the women's side with two second-place finishes, one in the 50 freestyle and the other in the 100 freestyle.
