- The John and Ann Rhoads Softball Stadium was built in 2000 and is now the largest on-campus college softball facility in the country, gaining a reputation as one of the most imposing environments for visiting teams.
- The stadium, completed at a cost of $2.2 million, added right field tier seating to push stadium capacity past the 3,000 mark and was expanded for the third time in its short history following 2011 season, which brought the official capacity to its current mark of 3,940
Stadium Enhancements
- During the 2009 season, tier seating in the right field corner was added along with a standing room concourse area that includes tables and drink rails
- After the completion of the 2010 season, construction began on an expanded clubhouse that featured a new locker room, expanded training room and player's lounge, a new team video room and lobby. The expanded clubhouse is connected to the indoor practice facility that includes three batting cages and a bullpen
- Recent additions to the facility to improve the fan experience include additional ticket gates for the Brickyard, additional concession areas and restrooms
Best Fans in the Country
- Alabama has made a consistent habit of selling out the entire permanent grandstands with season ticket holders for several years now. Along the way, the tremendous fan support has established Alabama as an imposing venue for visiting opponents, in addition to cementing the program's stature as a national power
- Alabama Softball fans continue to take the moniker "best softball fans in the nation" to heart, setting multiple NCAA attendance records over the years
- Most recently, a sellout crowd of 4,015 gathered for the May 5, 2017 matchup against in-state rival Auburn. Two more sellout crowds in the remaining two games marked a three-game series total of 12,045, also an NCAA record
- Rhoads Stadium also owns national attendance records in both the NCAA Regional and Super Regional rounds, with only Women's College World Series sessions at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City surpassing Rhoads Stadium's attendance marks
