Athletic Training Fellowship Program
Job Description
The University of Alabama is seeking candidates for the Athletic Training Fellowship Program. This 12 month position will allow the successful applicants to further advance their knowledge, clinical skills, and care of student athletes by gaining hands on autonomous experience.
Duties
- Assist with all primary medical care for athletes in an assigned sport including daily treatment and rehabilitation
- Aid in coverage of all practices and competitions at home and on the road
- Attend appointments and procedures with student athletes when required
- Assist with the maintenance and inventory of the athletic training room
- Supervise undergraduate athletic training students. Assist with supplementary duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required department minimum qualifications include: having a Bachelor's Degree, BOC certification, CPR and AED certification, eligible for Alabama State Licensure, a valid U.S. Driver's License, basic knowledge of NCAA Division I policies and procedures, creative thinking and problem solving, and experience working with a diverse student athlete population and understanding multicultural issues.

Compensation Package
- A stipend will be provided
- Advanced certification: NEMS-PES, NEMS-CES, CSCS, or FMS
- A minimum of 25 CEU's will be provided
- Alabama State Licensure Dues will be covered
- NATA Dues will be covered
- Preceptor Training will be provided
