Ron McKeefery joined Kalen DeBoer's Alabama staff in March of 2024 to serve as a special assistant to the head coach. McKeefery came to Tuscaloosa with more than 25 years of experience at both the collegiate and professional levels. He joined the Crimson Tide from Washington, where he worked under DeBoer as the Huskies' strength and conditioning coach from 2022-24. While in Seattle, McKeefery played an integral role in helping UW reach the 2023 College Football Playoff.
Alabama - Special Assistant to the Head Coach (2024-Present)

- Tasked with assisting in all aspects of the Tide's day-to-day football operations
Professional and Collegiate Experience
- Former all-conference defensive back at Ottawa University in Kansas
- Has held strength and conditioning roles with multiple professional teams, including the Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cincinnati Bengals
- Made collegiate stops at Washington, USF, Tennessee, Fresno State and Eastern Michigan, where he first worked with DeBoer
- Has also collaborated with the United States Special Forces, Team USA Football and the Chinese Olympic Committee
Player Development
- Has trained over 150 players who went on to careers in the National Football League
- Mentored more than 100 individuals who have become strength and conditioning coaches at the collegiate or professional level
- His proteges include three coaches who have won MLB or NBA championships and two recipients of national strength coach of the year honors in football

- Internationally recognized as a leader in sports development
- Two-time Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year in both 2016 (National Strength and Conditioning Association) and 2008 (Professional Football Strength and Conditioning Society)
- Named the 2020 International Coach of the Year by S&C Education in the United Kingdom
