Perie Howard begins her first season as the Crimson Tide’s graduate assistant coach.
"I am really excited to be here at the University of Alabama," Howard said. "I witnessed the growth after Coach Putyrae took over the program last year and knew I wanted to be apart of it. The staff have been so kind and welcomed me into the Crimson Tide family immediately. I feel so fortunate to be a part of a sport I am so passionate about at a school with so much to offer."
A native of Lewisberg, Pa., Howard comes to UA from the University of Louisville, where she competed as a coxswain on their rowing team.
The Tide assistant possesses coaching experience with the Central PA Rowing Association where she worked with first years and aided the master’s program. She was also a member of the CPRA during high school.
Howard earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Louisville and is now working towards obtaining her Masters in Kinesiology with a Sport Management specification here at UA.
