- Competed in the shot put and discus at the SEC Championships
- Recorded a mark of 15.82m (51-11) in the shot put and a mark of 49.23m (161-6) in the discus at SECs
- Posted a collegiate-best throw of 17.16m (56-3.75) in the shot put and a collegiate-best throw of 51.87m (170-2) in the discus at the LSU Invitational
- Competed in shot put at the Crimson Tide Invitational with a mark of 15.86m
- Finished 11th in the discus event with a mark of 46.55m at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays to open the outdoor season

- Opened his collegiate career with a sixth place finish in shot put at the Vanderbilt Invitational with a mark of 15.41m
