Jatavis Sanders joined the Alabama staff in January of 2024 to serve as the director of recruiting strategy under head coach Kalen DeBoer. Since his arrival, Sanders has been essential to helping the Crimson Tide and DeBoer's staff see immediate success in the recruiting ranks.

Alabama - Director of Recruiting (2024-Present)

Serves as the primary liaison between Alabama and high school football coaches
Builds and manages relationships with high school coaches, players, parents and other recruiting contacts across the country
Assists in the organization and maintenance of the Crimson Tide's recruiting board
Hosts prospects and their families during official and unofficial visits on campus
Develops and coordinates communications plans for all recruiting visits
Also supports in the planning and execution of Alabama's camps and coaching clinics
Played a key role in the Crimson Tide singing a consensus top-6 class by all major sites, peaking at No. 3 according to 247Sports
His efforts helped the Tide to a top-five recruiting class by all major outlets in 2025

NC State - Director of Recruiting (2022-23)

Promoted to lead the Wolfpack's recruiting operations in his final year after previously serving as the program's director of scouting in 2022
Guided NC State to the nation's 28th-ranked recruiting class in the 2024 cycle, the program's highest-rated recruiting class in 12 years
Managed the recruitment of a top-50 class during his first season overseeing State's recruiting department
Joined the NC State staff in 2022 as the director of scouting
In that role, he evaluated talent and supported the development of recruiting strategies across key regions

Willie Anderson Lineman Academy - Director of Recruiting (2018-22)

Led recruiting and player development efforts for the Atlanta-based training program
Consulted with clients and evaluated game film to provide insight into the college football recruiting process
Promoted highlight tapes and film packages to increase athlete exposure for scholarship opportunities

High School Experience (2013-22)

Served as co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach at Norcross High School in Georgia from 2017-22
Held the title of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Arabia Mountain High School in Georgia from 2013-17
