
Tide Women's Basketball Hosts Rival UAB on Tuesday

TUSCALOOSA - The University of Alabama women's basketball team looks to get back on the winning track on Tuesday night when the Tide hosts UAB at 7 p.m. in Coleman Coliseum.
The Crimson Tide, 4-1 on the year, suffered a disappointing 72-59 loss at Virginia Tech in their last outing on Saturday night. Alabama owns a 13-6 all-time record against the Blazers and have won eight of the last nine meetings between the two squads. The last time the pair squared off, UAB posted an 84-72 win in Birmingham in the second round of the 2001 Women's National Invitation Tournament.
UAB enters Tuesday's tilt with a 1-6 overall record. The Blazers are looking to snap their current three game losing skid that includes their 97-62 loss at North Carolina State on Saturday. UAB has lost in the its last three visits to Coleman Coliseum.
Prior to tip-off of the Bama-UAB game, Alabama head coach Rick Moody will be presented with a game ball in recognition of his 300th career victory, accomplished on Nov. 26 with the Tide's 81-45 win over Columbia.
