
Kretschman Triple Helps USA Finish Perfect Preliminary Round

Former University of Alabama softball standout Kelly Kretschman recorded a run-scoring triple in the sixth inning to help Team USA to a 3-0 victory over Chinese Taipei.
With the victory, USA finished its run through the round-robin portion of the tournament with a flawless 7-0 record.
Kretschman, who leads the team with three doubles, is currently hitting .333 in the tournament.
Medal round play begins Sunday, August 20. The United States' opponent has yet to be determined.
The undefeated Americans have outscored their seven preliminary-round opponents 41-0 to extend their winning streak to 77 games since July 2003.
