
Lauren Hill Named to Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team

ST. THOMAS, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – Lauren Hill, a junior forward on the Alabama women’s basketball team, was recognized for her outstanding play for the Crimson Tide at this weekend’s Paradise Jam, played at the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas. Hill, who leads the Tide in scoring this season averaging 14.5 points per game, was named to the Paradise Jam All-Tournament team in the St. John division.
Hill, a 6-0 forward from New Orleans, scored 21 points in two games at the Paradise Jam, pouring in 17 in a Tide loss to Virginia in the opening round and scoring four after battling foul trouble in an Alabama blowout win over Nevada in the consolation game. Hill also tallied six rebounds, an assist and two steals on the weekend.
The Tide will return to action on Thursday when Alabama hosts instate rival Alabama A&M in Coleman Coliseum. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
