A walk-on who will compete for playing time at catcher this season.

2007 (FRESHMAN): 
Bennett appeared in three games for the Tide against Canisius (Feb. 16), UAB (Feb. 28) and Mississippi Valley State (May 1) ... hit .333 (1-for-3) and scored one run in limited action ... recorded a base hit in his first official at-bat for the Tide against Canisius.

HIGH SCHOOL: 
A 2006 graduate of the Greater Atlanta Christian School in Tucker, Ga. ... played for Coach Cliff Shelton ... was also a member of varsity basketball team.

PERSONAL:
Full name is Brock Russell Bennett ... son of Keith and Becky Bennett ... one brother, Dustin.
