Tyler White will compete for time in the bullpen this season.
HIGH SCHOOL:
A 2007 graduate of Brandon (Miss.) High School where he was a three-year letterman for Coach Neill Bartling, who played at Alabama under Coach Jim Wells ... also a three-year starter at first base and made only one error (.993) in his entire prep career ... helped lead Brandon to a 25-7 record and a No. 13 final ranking by The Jackson Clarion Ledger in 2007 ... led Brandon to the 2007 district championship as his three-run, walk-off home run clinched the school’s first district title in 10 years ... he earned the school’s distinguished athlete award in 2007 ... a two-time “Mississippi Fabulous 15” selection by The Jackson Clarion Ledger (2006 and 2007) ... as a senior in 2007, he pitched 41.1 innings and logged 57 strikeouts ... threw the first no-hitter in the history of Trustmark Mark on March 16, 2007 ... was selected to play in the Mississippi High School Athletic Association All-Star Game ... won Brandon HS gold glove award in 2006 ... named Brandon HS Rookie of the Year in 2005 ... also played for the Mississippi Prospects in the National Amateur Baseball Federation in the summers of 2006 and 2007 ... played for Coach Josh Buford ... member of the Beta Club and the National Honor Society ... graduated with honors.
