TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The finale of the three game SEC softball series between Alabama and Tennessee has been cancelled due to inclement weather in the Tuscaloosa area Sunday afternoon. The game will not be made up.
Alabama swept Tennessee in Saturday's doubleheader by scores of 4-2 and 7-6. The Crimson Tide will return to action next weekend when they travel to Starkville, Miss., to take on Mississippi State in a three game series to close out the regular season.
The Tide still controls its own destiny in the title race for the Southeastern Conference regular season championship. If Alabama wins out (playing at least one game next weekend) they will be the 2010 SEC Champions.
