
Whitney Larsen Named to WCWS All-Tournament Team

OKLAHOMA CITY - Alabama senior Whitney Larsen capped off her stellar collegiate career by being named to the Women's College World Series All-Tournament team, the NCAA announced at the conclusion of the national championship series.
The senior batted .400 (4-for-10) in the four games and added a home run, a triple and three RBI. Larsen also scored two runs, slugged .900, sported a .455 on-base percentage with two walks and did not make an error in Oklahoma City.
In her final collegiate at-bat, Larsen hit a RBI triple to move her career total to 196, which ranks second all-time in the Alabama annals.
On the season Larsen posted career-highs in nearly offensive category. The senior led the team with 14 home runs and 64 RBI which both rank fourth in the Alabama single season records.
Larsen also batted .351, which ranked third on the team and added 52 runs, 61 hits and team-highs in slugging percentage (.690) and doubles (13).
