Alabama Women’s Basketball Welcomes Utah for Monday Night Matchup

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team (1-0) will play its second of three straight home games to open the season when it welcomes Utah (1-0) to Tuscaloosa on Monday. The game will tip at 7 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum.
PROMOTIONS
- Salute to Service: All military and first responders will receive free admission to Monday night's game. Family members will receive discounted admission of $3 per ticket with promo code.
- Tuscaloosa Toyota T-shirt Giveaway: Bama Salute T-shirts will be given out to the first 200 fans in attendance, courtesy of Tuscaloosa Toyota.
THE BROADCAST
- Monday's game will stream live on SEC Network + via the WatchESPN app. Eli Gold (play-by-play) and Rick Moody (analyst) will be on the call and will be joined by sideline reporter Rebecca Nesbitt.
- The game can also be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network on 93.3 FM in Tuscaloosa with Roger Hoover on the broadcast.
OPENING TIP
- This will be the first meeting between the Crimson Tide and Utes.
- Both teams enter Monday's game with a 1-0 record after having come out on top in their respective season openers.
LAST TIME OUT
- Alabama won its fourth straight season opener under head coach Kristy Curry with a 90-32 victory over Alabama A&M on Friday.
- The Crimson Tide was led by freshman Ariyah Copeland, who recorded a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds in her Alabama debut.
- Senior Ashley Williams also had 16 points in the win.
- Sophomore Ashley Knight picked up right where she left off a season ago inside, and set a career high in blocks with seven.
- Senior Hannah Cook also had a career best in the game with six steals, while Williams recorded a career-high four assists.
ABOUT UTAH
- Utah opened its season on Friday with an 87-61 win against Nevada.
- The Utes were led by senior Emily Potter, who finished with 17 points and 16 rebounds, while freshman Tori Williams scored a game-high 18 points.
- As a team, Utah shot 45.6 percent (31-68) from the floor and 80 percent (12-15) from the free throw line.
- The Utes are 12-13 on the road during head coach Lynne Roberts' tenure.
