Luca Fabian Begins Roberta Alison Fall Classic Going Undefeated in Singles and Doubles

The senior won her two singles matches and one doubles match on Friday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama senior Luca Fabian went a perfect 3-0 in the first day at the 32nd annual Roberta Alison Fall Classic on Friday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. Fabian won both of her singles and her lone doubles match.
Round-by-Round
- The day began with the first round of doubles, with senior Ann Selim and Fabian moving past Zordani/Stoica from Wisconsin, 7-5.
- In the first round of singles, freshman Isabella Harvison defeated Laura Bente of Memphis, 6-1, 6-7(3), 6-2, while Selim bested Caitlin Bernard of Indiana, 6-3, 6-3. Fabian moved on after going up 6-2, 3-0, before Amelia Campbel of UT Martin retired.
- The second round of singles began with another win by Fabian as she eased past Pei Ju Hsieh of Troy, 6-2, 6-1. Selim and Harvison both fell in their second-round matchups.
Tournament Note
- Fabian and Selim have been strong as a doubles pair, moving to a 5-1 record as a duo on the year with the win on Friday.
- Selim leads the Crimson Tide with a 6-2 singles record, while Fabian moves to second on the squad with her 5-3 mark.
