Alabama Wins 4-3 Thriller Over Mississippi State to Advance in SEC Tournament

After dropping the doubles point, the Crimson Tide rallied behind four singles victories to secure the win
NORMAN, Okla. – Alabama (13-11) secured a come-from-behind, 4-3, win over Mississippi State (16-12) to advance to the second round of the Southeastern Conference Women's Tennis Tournament.
After going down 2-0 early in the match, the Crimson Tide slowly began to chip away at the Bulldogs' lead. Freshman Karla Bartel was up 5-0 in a third set when Maria Andrienko secured the team's third point to bring the match to a tie. Bartel would go on to clinch the match for Alabama with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 win on court four.

- Mississippi State grabbed an early advantage with doubles wins on courts one and two, while court three remained unfinished at 4-4
- Amina Salibayeva recorded the Tide's first point after a two-set win on court six, 6-1, 7-6 (2)
- Addison Bowman also added a straight-set victory over the Bulldogs' Chiara Di Genova on court five (6-2, 7-5)
