Alabama Wraps Up Successful Roberta Alison Fall Classic

Senior Luca Fabian won her singles draw, while her and partner Ann Selim won their doubles draw
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama wrapped up a successful Roberta Alison Fall Classic on Saturday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. Seniors Luca Fabian and Ann Selim, along with freshman Isabella Harvison went a combined 5-0 in singles and doubles on the day.
Round-by-Round
- Selim and Fabian won the Millie Begovic Draw after first besting Bente/Davies of Memphis, 6-3, before taking the final, after going up 4-1 against Racine/Falceto of Mississippi State, when they retired due to injury.
- Fabian also won her singles draw when she moved past Maria Fernanda Carvajal of East Tennessee State, 6-0, 6-4, in the Karin Gaiser Draw Final.
- Selim earned her seventh singles win of the fall season after taking the 6-1, 6-4, decision over Jana Hecking of UAB.
- In the final round of singles, freshman Isabella Harvison moved on after Isolde de Jong of Ole Miss. Harvison played an extra match against Daphne Pratt and dominated, 6-1, 6-0.
Tournament Note
- Fabian and Selim finish the fall season with a team-best 7-1 record after winning the Nillie Begovic Draw.
- Selim leads the Crimson Tide with a 6-2 singles record, while Fabian moves to second on the squad with her 5-3 mark.
