Alabama Softball to Play Five Fall Games at Rhoads Stadium

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The defending Southeastern Conference champion Alabama softball team returns to Rhoads Stadium for five fall contests across three weekends in October.
Memphis and Pensacola State will face each other at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 12 before the Crimson Tide squares off against the Pirates at 2 p.m. and the Tigers at 4 p.m. A similar schedule follows on Sunday, Oct. 20 with Wallace State and Montevallo playing at 11:30 p.m. CT before Alabama plays the Lions at 1:30 p.m. and the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. The final fall game will be a single 10-inning game against Marion Military Institute on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1:30 p.m.
All games will be played at Rhoads Stadium. Admission is $5 and tickets will be sold at the gate. All proceeds from fall softball games benefit the Bama Softball Walk-Off Club, the official booster club for Alabama Softball. Fans who wish to join the club will have an opportunity to do so at the fall games.
Alabama returns 13 players from last year's team that won 60 games, claimed the program's fifth SEC regular-season title and advanced to the final day of bracket play at the 2019 Women's College World Series. Among the returners are All-Americans Montana Fouts, Bailey Hemphill and Kaylee Tow, SEC Pitcher of the Year Sarah Cornell and All-SEC honorees Elissa Brown, Maddie Morgan and Skylar Wallace. Head Coach Patrick Murphy, who was last year's SEC Coach of the Year, returns for his 22nd season at the helm of the crimson and white.
Joining them are five newcomers, including four freshmen and one transfer. Former Oregon All-American Alexis Mack arrives in Tuscaloosa for her final year of eligibility along with freshmen Karla Hice (Ardmore, Ala.), Lexi Kilfoyl (Land O' Lakes, Fla.), Jenna Johnson (Franklin, Tenn.) and Savannah Woodard (Warrior, Ala.).
